And Lisbon is not only the city... just nearby you have some great beaches in Cascais, the wonderfull Sintra, a small city that looks like it came out of a fairy tale, the cape "Cabo da Roca", which is the most western spot in Europe...
To see Lisbon by day, the best is to use the transports.

This is the city of the seven hills, and altough they make Lisbon beautifull, it gets more difficult to keep going up and down all day. So, grab a day pass and just hop around in the buses and trams.
You could take the subway, but then you wouldn't see much.... :)
 
And don't forget to ask us the best places to go, by day or night....

Also you have to try the delicious (and cheap) portuguese cuisine, with dishes invented in the time of the conquests, and recipees that came from india to brasil.
